Meet Calliope (Cali)!
Cali is a spirited and playful young lady with a stunning long-haired tabby coat and a magnificent tail that will steal your heart. Her soft fur does require regular brushing to keep her looking her best, but it’s a small price to pay for such beauty! This bold and sassy girl quickly warms up and will seek out attention on her own terms. When she comes to greet you, DO NOT ignore her requests for attention. She will take a swipe at you to let you know you are not to ignore her. Just a quick pet will make her happy. She will crawl onto your lap or lay quietly beside you and will reward you with a quiet purr when you softly rub her cheeks or stroke her nose. While she can be picked up, she is not a fan of being cuddled.
Calliope is very playful and will play interactively with you and a wand toy or will play independently with just about anything she can find. She can also be found lounging in a sunbeam. She currently lives with two male foster cats and has confidently taken on the role of leader of the pack. While she has not had any exposure to dogs in her foster home, she would likely be fine with them with a slow introduction.
Calliope has not had exposure to children in her foster home but would likely be fine with older, respectful children, since she has a tendency to swat if she is unhappy.
