Bio:
Meet Franklin, a ball of love! If you are looking for an instant dopamine-rush of cat affection, this is your boy. His greatest quality is the intense passion he puts into being petted! Who knew that could be a talent? When he sees a hand approaching, his whole body tenses up with anticipation and he cannot just wait for he pet to land on his head. He must spruce his head and back up as high as it will go to have each pet sooner! He puts as much work into those pets as you do! This is a long way from his humble beginnings where he was found wandering as a stray. As soon as he arrived in foster, it was clear that he was cut out for the outdoor life. He spent the first week or so too nervous to leave his litter box, trembling when petted and yet accepting them and purring, showing he wants nothing more than to be loved. Once he realized that he was safe, he gathered up the courage to explore the foster room and is now the king of the cat shelves, hanging out all day and looking over everyone. One of his favourite pastimes is watching the neighborhood from the window perch. Once playtime hits, he is all about 1-1 play with his human and this is when his most adorable inner kitten comes out! He is silly in his play, gently pulling my hand into his den only to give it some kisses. He loves toys, including springs and rod-and-string toys where he can practice being ferocious. Affection is still Franklin’s kryptonite though as scratches to his neck will instantly stop him in his playful tracks to embrace all the love, rolling with pets. As Franklin is still learning to be brave and confident, he would like a quiet home with gentle and compassionate humans to work on this more with him. Because he is a nervous nelly, he’d like it if any cat or dog siblings are calm, very cat-savvy, and respect his space at the start until he has practiced being brave in his new environment. Ideally his forever home would have a covered litter box and holes to hide in at the start.
