Schroeder Bio:
Meet Schroeder!
This boy is quite bold and chatty. He is very friendly and wants to be pet all of the time. He will come to you as soon as you enter the room and will seek you out for attention. When he first came into foster he would quickly get over-stimulated and would swat at you or give a warning bite. The more he gets attention, though, the less likely he is to do that. In fact, this behavior has all but stopped. He will touch you with his paw, if you have not given him enough pets. He can be picked up for short periods of time but does not like to be held or cuddled. He will step onto your lap for pets.
Schroeder plays energetically with ball toys. He will carry foam balls around in his mouth, then throw them and give chase. However, he does end up shredding those foam balls so plastic balls are probably the best with him. He enjoys any toy that has catnip in it. He absolutely loves catnip. Normally quite regal looking, he becomes a silly rolly polly cat when he is on the ‘nip.
Schroeder has not had a bath or his nails clipped in his foster home. He really doesn’t know what to think of being brushed but he doesn’t hate it.
In his foster home, he has had no exposure to children, but would likely be ok with older, respectful ones.
Schroeder loves teats. He likes hard treats but he really likes squeeze up treats like Churos. He eats hard food and soft food and does not seem to have a preference between the two.
Schroeder has worked hard at getting along with other cats. He gets along with the other 2 cats in the room but has had problems with a dominant cat in the past. He would do best in a home with a quiet, non aggressive cat.
With a little bit of patience, Schroeder will become a wonderful companion. He with chat with you, give you lots of affection and head butts.
