My Cat was NOT Adopted from STNR
Unless that cat was adopted from us we can not take owner surrenders. While we understand that life circumstances can change, our rescue is not able to accept owner-surrendered pets at this time. Our limited foster spaces and resources are dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, stray, and at-risk cats in our community.
If you need to rehome a pet cat that you own, please contact an organization that accepts owner surrenders. Many rescues and shelters require an application process and may have waitlists, so we encourage you to reach out as soon as possible. The Ottawa Humane Society accepts owner surrender requests by appointment and recommends trying to rehome pets responsibly before surrendering.

Thank you for understanding. By focusing our resources on homeless and vulnerable cats, we can continue helping the animals who have nowhere else to go. ❤️🐾

My Cat WAS Adopted from STNR
If you adopted your cat from us and are experiencing challenges, please contact us as soon as possible. Whether you're dealing with behavioural concerns, litter box issues, introductions to other pets, changes in your living situation, or any other difficulties, we want to help.
Many issues can be resolved with guidance, resources, and support, and we encourage adopters to reach out before a situation becomes overwhelming. Our goal is to help keep cats in their homes whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so.
As outlined in our adoption agreement, cats adopted through our rescue must be returned to us if they can no longer remain in their home. However, returning a cat should be considered a last resort. Foster space is often limited, and the earlier we are aware of a problem, the more options we may have to help you and your cat succeed together.
If you are struggling, please don't wait until the situation becomes urgent. Contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you to find the best solution for both you and your cat. ❤️🐾
