Bio:
Meet Walter!
This handsome fellow is Walter, he came from a barn in North Gower. He’s obviously quite used to people and comes and rubs on you for attention. He’s also surprisingly vocal; he will let you know when he wants your attention or would rather be allowed to rest quietly. He’s quick to roll onto his side, even his back; when you start petting him. However, as with most kitties, you need to be mindful of the way you engage in petting him at this point: mostly around the neck and not too far down the belly as it becomes a “touchy situation”. Loves those neck and ear scratches!
I think all those years as an independent kitty explains his “loner” personality. Although he loves his human companions, he really would rather not have to deal with other cats. Have yet to find a game/toy he wants to engage with; still working on it.
Not tested with dogs yet although I think he’d likely stand his ground. One more thing to determine. He also does display food aggression toward the other foster cat at mealtimes. Does back off just at my vocal intervention though.
Overall, Walter appears to be a good candidate as someone’s companion. He just loves it when you walk into the room and he greets you loudly!
Date of Birth Feb 2020
Neutered, first shots, deflead, dewormed, microchipped
Adoption fee 250$
