Dutchess' Bio:
Dutchess came to us with 6 kittens and she managed to be a Houdini and escape over tall walls in her foster home that no other foster cat before her had scaled! She did this several times, leaving her kittens alone, before the ceiling was closed off. It was difficult getting her to come out of the ceiling and didn't make for the greatest start to the relationship with foster mom. This was months ago and all of her kittens have since been adopted. She wasn't the biggest fan of human attention early on but lately she's seeking it out. She is always very eager for food time and will let you know she's been waiting with her long, drawn-out, feeding time meows, as if she's telling you off. Then she rubs up against her cat hammock, showing you she'd like some pets as well. She would do best in a calmer home with people who understand cat body language. She likes pets but is still learning not to be overstimulated by them, and she will do little bites if you pet too hard or don't do a simple pet all the way down her back (no lingering or scratchies yet please ). She also does little breathing huffs if she's irritated with it. She's actually such a cute little cat, even with her little quirks. She was so ready to be done being a mom and is ready to be spoiled and lavished on like the dutchess she is!
