Fern's Bio:
Meet Fern!
Fern is a pretty, petite and playful little Calico.
This 4 year old little girl loves to play, whether it be with a wand toy or with a mouse or ball.
Although shy at first, she will eventually start to greet you at the door and then expect you to give her pets. She has a big purr for such a little girl and a tiny squeak for a voice.
Fern loves to play. She is a high energy cat who will enthusiastically chase a wand toy or amuse herself with another toy. While others are sleeping, she just likes to play. Playing is important to help her build confidence in her new situation.
Fern can be very motivated by treats, particularly Squeeze Up treats, like Churos. These are a great way to make friends with her. She also likes Temptation treats.
In her foster situation she has had no exposure to children. However, she would likely do well with older children if approached in a calm manner. Similarly, she has had no exposure to dogs in her foster situation. He has been a part of a group of four cats and, for the most part she gets along well with them. She will set boundaries and may growl if they try to get into her space.
As previously stated, she will eventually greet you at the door and want to get pets. She does tolerate getting picked up for short periods of time and will crawl onto your legs if you are sitting on the floor. She will eventually turn into a lap cat, given a little bit of time and patience.
Take this little girl home with you! You won’t be disappointed.
