Nevaeh's Bio:
Searching for a special cat lover!
These kittens came to us last July in bad shape. Three kittens arrived into our care. The first one had three bot fly larvae in her, was emaciated and congested and lethargic. She died in my sons arms after trying for a couple days to bring her back to health. Spirit(grey/white male tabby) also had a bot fly larvae that we removed and successfully got him back to healthy along with his sister Nevaeh( black female). Both were feisty kittens Our favourite kind
It took a while for our foster to work with them and get them to the point that they could be posted for adoption. Though still timid, we thought they’d eventually adjust in the right home. They were adopted and within a couple days we received a message from adopter saying spirit was limping and walking funny. They wanted to return him and were concerned it wasn’t just a sprained leg like we originally thought.
As soon as we saw him we knew… the dreaded FIP! Neuro FIP! He was lethargic and wobbly while walking. We quickly got him to the vet for blood work to confirm our suspicions and started him on the miracle GS FIP treatment. Neuro FIP is a little trickier to treat and sometimes, though cured, there is remaining neurological damage. Spirit is pretty much back to normal except that he won’t poop in the litter box. He poops right next to it (easy clean up) We hope that this won’t deter anyone from adopting him and his sister.
They are both healthy and Spirit is officially cured from FIP and thriving. He and his sister have bonded and are often found close together. They both give love bites when being pet but it’s never hard. For this reason we think a home without young kids would be ideal.
Spirit loves attention. As soon as you sit down to watch TV, read or go to bed he is right there beside you wanting attention, or cuddled up beside you. He does not like being picked up or forced to do anything.
They both will be timid at first but once settled you will see their playful, super affectionate side. As soon as you touch them they begin to purr and snuggle in.
Please consider giving this pair a forever home
